When and how SmartIO Bilişim Sistemleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. issues refunds for paid subscriptions to the Browsonic service.
This Refund Policy describes when and how SMARTIO BİLİŞİM SİSTEMLERİ SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("SmartIO"), the operator of the Browsonic service, issues refunds for paid subscriptions to the Browsonic service. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Distance Sales Agreement and Delivery & Return Policy.
1. Free Plan and Trials
The free plan is, well, free — there is nothing to refund.
If we offer a free trial of a paid plan and you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If a trial converts to a paid subscription and you would like a refund, the rest of this Policy applies.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for the upcoming month.
14-day satisfaction window. For your very first paid month with Browsonic, you can request a full refund within fourteen (14) days of the charge if the Service does not meet your needs. After that initial 14-day window, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable, but you may cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
Cancellation. When you cancel a monthly subscription, your access to paid features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused days in the middle of a monthly cycle.
3. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for twelve (12) months at a discount.
30-day satisfaction window. For new annual subscriptions, you can request a full refund within thirty (30) days of the initial charge.
After 30 days. If you cancel an annual subscription after the 30-day window, we will, on request, refund the unused portion of the annual term pro rata less:
- the value of the months you have already used at the equivalent monthly-plan rate (so the discount you received in exchange for committing to a year is recovered);
- any usage above your plan's included limits.
In some cases this calculation produces no refund — for example, if you have used the Service for the majority of the year, the recovered monthly-rate value can equal the amount paid.
4. Plan Changes (Upgrades and Downgrades)
Upgrade. When you upgrade, we charge the difference pro-rated to the remainder of your current billing cycle. The new plan starts immediately.
Downgrade. When you downgrade, the new plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. We do not issue refunds for the difference within the current cycle.
5. Overage Charges and Add-ons
Overage fees, charges for one-off add-ons (extra retention, additional seats, on-demand exports) and any custom services are non-refundable, except where required by law.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email browsonic-billing@smartiobilisim.com from the email address associated with your account and include:
- the account or organisation name;
- the date and amount of the charge;
- a short note on why you are requesting the refund.
We aim to acknowledge requests within two (2) business days and to issue eligible refunds within ten (10) business days.
7. How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the charge through our third-party payment processor. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds may take an additional five to ten (5–10) business days to appear on your statement.
If the original payment method is no longer available we will work with you on an alternative consistent with payment-card-industry rules.
8. Chargebacks and Disputed Charges
Please contact us at browsonic-billing@smartiobilisim.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — we can almost always resolve the issue faster directly. If a chargeback is initiated we may suspend the account while it is resolved.
9. Exceptions
We will of course process refunds in any circumstance where they are required by law in your jurisdiction, regardless of the windows described above. Customers in certain regions (including consumers in the European Union) have statutory rights that apply over and above this Policy.
If our Service has a material defect that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, we will refund the affected portion of your subscription on request.
